Revitalización del sector productivo del café en el municipio de Tercer Frente1

Abstract
With the development of the present project cofnanced by the Italian Agency for the Cooperation to the Development (AICD) the productive sector of the coffee was revitalized in Tercer Frente by means of the invigoration of 5 chain links of values of this cultivation (plant, genetics, plantations management, quality and training). The volumes of brown cherry were increased and of superior quality in the municipality with the increment of the readiness of vegetable material of Coffea arabica L. and Coffea canephora P., for the producers. The productive increases of the coffee areas were possible to increase through the application of appropriate technologies, favored by the supply of tools and agricultural teams. The coffee quality was improved mainly, with the densimetric separator of grains and superior results are expected with the setting in march of the Center of Reproduction of Entomophag and Entomopathogens (CREE); as well as with the implementation of the technology of drying of solar dryer’s coffee. The knowledge of the technicians and producers were possible to increase through different national and international trainings. Banks of coffee certifed seeds were created, one of C. arabica in the Cooperative of Agricultural Production VI Cumbre. Promissory genotype of Arabic and Robusta coffee
were distributed to the producers.
