Implementación de la agricultura familiar para la diversificación de la producción en la comunidad cafetalera Rihito de Matías1

Abstract
The work was developed in the period understood between June of the 2006 and December of the 2010 in the coffee community “Rihito of Matías”, in Tercer Frente municipality, Santiago de Cuba province, with the objective to increase and to diversify the productions ´in situ´ of foods starting from the implementation and development of the family agriculture in patios of housings and family orchards. Participative technical were applied for the sensitization of the community ones and the elaboration and implementation of the development program. For the study 49 family nuclei were selected with earth readiness around their housings for the establishment of cultivations. 104.9 t of foods took place, of 39 species with those that contributed to the increment and diversification of the agricultural productions of the community, at the same time that it facilitated the residents to acquire and to include in its diet fresh products of high quality.
