Comportamiento productivo de cultivares de Coffea arabica L. en proceso de selección en la localidad de Jibacoa
Main Article Content
Abstract
The work was carried out in the germplasm bank of the Unit of Science and Technique of Base, Estación Experimental AgroForestal Jibacoa, located in the Manicaragua municipality, Villa Clara. As main objective it was evaluated the behavior of the agricultural, industrial yield and the grain of a group of materials of Coffea arabica L. in selection process. A totally randomized design was used, conformed by 20 genotypes (10 plants for treatment) obtained as a result of a process of genealogical selection. A first group was obtained starting from a process of controlled pollination and one second by means of hybridization intra specific, using crosses systems genetically and positive phenotypically. The describers were evaluated: weight of cherries for tree, industrial yield and the yield of exportable coffee. initially analysis uni variegated were used and later main components (CP) analysis, of conglomerate, simple variance analysis, bend and factorial with the corresponding Duncan test to compare half, when the suppositions of homogeneity of variances were not completed the tests non parametric of Kruskal-Wallis were used. The evaluated materials showed genetic variability for the yield weigh cherry/tree, the industrial yield and the exportable coffee. The cultivars CUB 132, CUB 133, CUB 142, CUB 141 showed bigger productive potential expressed in yield of 2.75 kg of coffee cherry by tree. The genotypes CUB 129, CUB 117, CUB 140, CUB 145, CUB 146, CUB 137 was characterized by a high production of exportable coffee with values that they were in 97,12 % of retention.
