Caracterización socioproductiva de la UBPC Cafetalera La Silla

Abstract
The investigation was developed in the period understood between April of 2015 and May of 2016 in the UBPC La Silla located in the Tercer Frente municipality, Santiago de Cuba province. With the purpose of characterizing the active labor force of the entity, to determine the main characteristics of the productive process and of the management of the cultivations, to identify the main problems that affect the yields and to investigate about the existent potentialities for the diversification and increment of the productions, the present work was developed. The diagnosis threw that in the entity works an aged community of workers, with prevalence of the masculine sex where the feminist are not represented among the youngest. 28 % of the existent plantations of coffee surpasses the 25 years of established, 51 % has between 15 and 25 years. was found an acceptable management of the somber, insufficient conservation measures and improvement of the soil, low diversification, difficulties in the agro technique management, prevalence of the plantations in regular state and the progressive increment of the yields during the three evaluated years, where are not used in an efficient way the aquifer resources, the generated waste and the available areas, for what that is why don’t take advantage the potentialities for the diversification and increment of the productions.
