Incidencia de Hypothenemus hampei (Ferrari) y Leucoptera coffeella (Guérin-Meneville) en las condiciones agroecológicas del Tercer Frente1
Main Article Content
Abstract
The work was developed of September from the 2015 to December of the 2017 with the objective of evaluating the incidence of H. hampei (Ferrari) and L. coffeella (G. M.) in the coffee cultivation in the agroecological conditions of the municipality Tercer Frente, Santiago de Cuba province. To develop the work four coffee areas of the Agriculture-Forest Enterprise Tercer Frente were chosen. The evaluations were carried out using the methodologies of Presage and Signaling settled down by the National Address of Vegetable Sanity (CNSV, 1989; Carracedo and col., 1995 and Rodríguez and col., 2017) following the integrated method to evaluate the incidence of the plagues and diseases. The biggest indexes of infestation of Hypothenemus hampei Ferrari was observed during the months of June until half-filled of August in the Arroyón and San Lorenzo areas with 40 % and 35 %, continued by the areas of La Tabla and Monjará with 31 % and 27.5 %, respectively. During the study of Leucoptera coffeella GuérinMeneville for all the cases registered during the months of March to June and of October to November, reaching the biggest values in April with 21.3 %; 9.6 %; and 7.0 % for the Arroyón, San Lorenzo, La Tabla and Monjará areas and in November where the incidences were of 11.3 %, 7.3 %, and 6.1 % for San Lorenzo’s areas, La Tabla, Arroyón and Monjará, respectively. The behavior of the affectations in the cultivation for Hypothenemus hampei Ferrari and Leucoptera coffeella Guérin-Meneville was conditioned by the agroclimatics conditions prevalent in the evaluated áreas.
