Evaluación del desarrollo de cuatro cultivares de Coffea canephora Pierre ex Froehner en el municipio de Buey Arriba
Main Article Content
Abstract
The research was developed in the Basic Unit of Production Cooperative Delfín Pedro Carrillo Sosa, as part of the international collaboration project “Sustainable development of coffee in Cuba and in Vietnam, for the period 2016-2020” with the objective of evaluating the morphological development of four clones of Coffea canephora Pierre ex Froehner, in the first year of established. In the experiment the variables: height of the plant (cm), diameter of the stem (cm), number of branches per plant (u), length of the branches (cm), number of knots per branch (u) and diameter of the cup were evaluated (cm). For the evaluation, a randomized block design was established. The data obtained from each variable were analyzed through the statistical package InfoStat version 2017, performing an analysis of variance with a level of significance of 5 % and using the Tukey test for the comparison of the means obtained. The clones with the best behavior were: the MKV11 in the variable length of the branches, knots by branches and the diameter of the crown, the MK1 in the height of the plant and the number of branches by plants and MKV4 in the thickness of the stem.
