Influences of four substrata in the hipocotiledonar grafts development of coffee in Viñales municpality
Main Article Content
Abstract
The work was carried out in the Cooperative of Credits and Services Strengthened (CCSF) Manuel Fajardo, where postures of coffee were grafted by means of the technology of hipocotiledonar graft. Four substrates was used to evaluate the development of postures of Coffea arabica L., variety Red Caturra implanted on pattern of the species Coffea canephora Pierre ex Froehner, variety Robusta; soil (pattern), soil: mud (3:1), soil: mud (3:1) + 230 g of pine bark and soil: mud (3:1) + 230 g of pine bark + 230 g of shell of coffee. The results showed that with the employment of the treatment soil: mud (3:1) + 230 g of pine bark + 230 g of husk of coffee a better development of the evaluated indexes it was achieved (height, diameter, even of leaves and total dry weight), the values of the percentage of survival are also bigger when using the treatment soil: mud (3:1). The employment of this technology applied in the area study object. Also allows the profitability of the production of grafted postures of coffee, with a margin of considerable revenues.
