Abstract
The work was developed in the CCS Enrique Campos Caballero located to the south of Guantánamo, in the kilometer ten of the highway to Caimanera, in the period 1996-2009. The investigation had as objective to evaluate the paper of the rural traditions in the management of the agriculture ecosystem, integrating the knowledge traditional peasant with the investigations scientist-technical more modernized in the handling of the soils. The used methodology was based in the principles of the Investigation-action-participative, through a rural diagnosis and its evaluation. As a result of this diagnosis the existence was verified in those producing of a traditional knowledge of ecological nature, very related with the agricultural production of the property, very secured in the current generation of producers. The resulting strategy, allowed endowing to those producing of the group of knowledge modernized scientific-technicians that allowed settling down in its properties an efficient handling of the cultivated biodiversity, a better use and re-using of the nutrients.
