Environmental medium strategy of qualification in a mountain community Santiago de Cuba

Abstract
The work was developed from February/2006 up to December/2010, in the community of Rihito de Matías, located to more than 360 msnm in the municipality of Tercer Frente, Santiago de Cuba province. Like initial objective the identification of the demands and community interests were predicted, as well as the main problems of the agriculture, environment and use and management of the natural resources and derived residuals. With these results, it was elaborated of group with the factors of the community, a training strategy and sensitization that it achieved the motivation of producers and community. The resulting strategy favored the refocus of the collective vocational orientation and the scholars’ singular and it was able to promote in the population a culture means environmentalist based in technical community of sustainable agriculture. As a result of their application more than a hundred of training actions that included 80 shops, 4 conversations, 30 conferences, among other actions and 9 circles of interest were created in the thematic of soils conservation, Medicinal plants and Environment were carried out.
