Remodelaciones de minihidroeléctricas a filo de agua en las zonas montañosas de la provincia de Santiago de Cuba

Abstract
The necessity to give better use to the important resource waters down it is located in a high-priority order at world level. In Cuba, the facilities of small hydroelectric constitute an achievement from the Revolution when improving the quality of the peasants’ life. This work is destined to use of the hydric resource with employment of new coefficients of glides that allow the appropriate use of the flow of the rivers. The series of glides means of the hydrometric stations of the Santiago de Cuba province were analyzed; the values means are exposed for each closing hydrometric, the characteristic expenses and the modular coefficients the half glide for the 365 days of the year. The analysis of the databases was developed in the period 2000-2003, from the establishment of the stations hydrometric and starting from the remodeling of the small hydroelectric. The values means can be used as similar in lacking closings of information to obtain the curves of classified flows provided the morph-metric, hydro-graphic and climatic characteristic be similar. The economic efficiency is shown which is able to reach when installing a small hydroelectric with the results of this investigation, with saving of 22 230 USD like remodeling consequence to the small hydroelectric (consideration of an appropriate power of the rivers, equipment and measurements of the stations, among other). The investigation offers a contribution to the hydrological science that can extend in the national territory, revaluing the classified flows curves in the small hydroelectric, where the installed power differs of the reality.
