Application results of the system of agrarian extension in the CCSF Onelio Díaz

Abstract
The study was carried out during January 2007 to June 2010 period, in 11 properties of the Cooperative of Credits and Strengthened Services (CCSF) “Onelio Díaz” of the Unit of Interface of Comecará, of the Tercer Frente municipality, Santiago de Cuba province, in those that an appropriate interaction was promoted for the innovation among the actors interested in the sustainable development of the coffee-culture. These actions were carried out by means of the advice, training and technical attendance to the producers framed in the application of the System of Agrarian Extension and with it was achieved it a better linking, motivation and understanding of the producers in the adoption of technological options and diagnosis studies. This work also facilitated a correct application of the technology and it facilitated the creation of 5 demonstrative parcels that congregate an extension of 31.4 ha planted with coffee ´Robusta´ whose yields averages increased with relationship to the harvest (2007-2008) in 0.21 t/ ha 2 reference areas represented in 3.93 ha of coffee ´Robusta´ showing increases in the yields of 0.17 t/ha like increment average and it was achieved that 4 properties with a total area of 8.66 have of Robust coffee they reached the condition of sustainable, those that reported an increment average from their equivalent yields to 0.22 t/ha with relationship to the initial harvest, respectively.
