Evaluation of the yields and the coffee production under edapho-climatic conditions of the Guisa Municipality
Main Article Content
Abstract
The work was developed in the Empresa Agropecuaria Batalla de Guisa, Granma in 1988-2013 period, with the objective of evaluating the yields and the coffee production in the edapho-climatic conditions of the Guisa municipality. A rising agro productive of the enterprise was carried out and were took information’s of the database related with the yields and production. For the processing of the information the statistical package InfoStat, 2001 was used, and to estimate the yield a multiple regression analysis was carried out where they were kept in mind as independent variables: the maximum temperature, the minimum temperature, the half temperature and the precipitations where it profited significant differences. The best results were reached in the five year period 1988- 1992, coinciding with the best behavior in the climatic factors. The productions were characterized by fluctuations with falling tendencies in the yields of 0,13 t • h-1 what represented 65 % less than the one obtained in the five year period (1988-1992) base, and for the areas in production of 3522,5 has that it represents 42,2 % less than the existent thing in the moment in that the municipality had the best productive results.
