Application effect of the Vitazyme bio-stimulating in the morphological development of coffee grafts
Main Article Content
Abstract
The Vitazyme is a micro-biologically concentrated liquid of vegetable materials, a potent bio- stimulating with natural contents that benefit the vegetable growth and the soil conditions, its use is viable and extremely important to achieve an agricultural ecologically sustainable development, it is of low cost and with its use preserves the environment conservation. With the objective of knowing the effect of the Vitazyme application on the morphological development of coffee grafting the experiment was mounted in the 2004, 2005 and 2007 years, on an ochre Brown soil without carbonates at 150 msnm in the Estación Central de Investigaciones de Café y Cacao, actually Estación Experimental Agro-Forestal Tercer Frente, Santiago de Cuba belonging to the Instituto Nacional de Investigaciones Agro-Forestales. The treatments consisted on the application of the bio-prepared in the different demurrages of the plants. Morphological evaluations were carried out: height of the plants, diameter of the stalk, dry weight of the air part, the radical part and the foliate area. Data statistically were processed and the halves were compared. It was observed that in the treatments where the Vitazyme was applied statistical differences were found for almost all the indicators evaluated during the experiment with relationship to the witness. There were increments in the height from 1 until 27 %, in the diameter of the stalk between a 5 and 36 % and in the foliate area was made between 2 and 97%, showing in a general way a beneficial effect in the morphological development of the coffee seedlings grafted.
