Effect of the Vitazyme in the growth and seedlings development of cocoa taken place by hybrid seeds

Abstract

The work was developed in the nursery of the Estación Experimental Agroforestal Baracoa, Guantánamo province with the purpose of validating the effect of the application of the product Vitazyme in the growth and development of postures taken place by mixture of hybrid seeds of cocoa. The experiment was executed with three replicates and 5 treatments: witness without vitazyme, immersion of the seeds in the solution of Vitazyme to 5 % during 6, 12, 24 and 48 hours. Except for the witness that was made application foliate of water, to the rest were made monthly applications from Vitazyme to 1 %. The germination was evaluated from the seeds to the 30 days, the height of the plant, the couples of leaves and the diameter of the shaft to the fifth month of the sowing. The results were processed by means of variance analysis of simple classification. The application of the Vitazyme increased in a significant way the indicative morphologic evaluated. In those that immersion of the hybrid seeds of cocoa was carried out in solution from Vitazyme to 5 % during 24 and 12 hours that went superior to the rest as for the germination percentage (increase between 6,6 % and 4,4 %), pairs of leaves (50 % and 75 %), height of the plants (27,2 % and 36,4 %) and diameter of the shaft (13,6 % and 22,7 %), respectively.
