González-Vega, Roberto coffee extensionism training harvests yields café extensionismo capacitación cosecha rendimientos To incentivize the extensive application of technologies that propitiate increments in the coffee yields, Units of Interface of Link-Investigation-Production (UIVIP) were established, in the Coffee Enterprise Carlos Manuel de Céspedes, municipality Tercer Frente, Santiago de Cuba province; in those that an appropriate interaction was promoted for the innovation and the sustainable development of the caficultura. Diverse training activities and technical attendance, framed in the application of the Agrarian Extension System were carried out and with it was achieved it a better linking, motivation and understanding for the producers in the adoption of technologies. The study was carried out in the UIVIP Comecará the one that has 589.44 ha; prevailing the Coffea canephora P. and 270 producers for an average of 2.16 producers for hectares. With this experience the yields were increased: for the Coffea arabica L. 0.10 t/ha like average in the five entities regarding the initial period and in the Coffea canephora P. 0.15 t /ha. This work facilitated the establishment of five demonstrative parcels with yields averages of 0.21 t/ha with relationship to the harvest bases (2007-2008), four reference areas, with yields from 0.2 t/ha until the 0.31 t/ha for the coffee Arábico, and for the Robusta between 0.35 t/ha and 0.51 t/ ha it was also achieved that four properties reached the condition of sustainable in those which the increment for the case of the coffee arábico was in 0.05 t/ha with relationship a period bases (2007-2008); and for the Robusta ascended to 0.22 t/ha.   Para incentivar la aplicación extensiva de tecnologías que propicien incrementos en los rendimientos de café, se establecieron Unidades de Interfase de Vinculación-Investigación-Producción (UIVIP) en la Empresa Cafetalera Carlos Manuel de Céspedes, municipio de Tercer Frente, provincia de Santiago de Cuba, en las que se promovió una interacción adecuada para la innovación y el desarrollo sostenible de la caficultura. Se realizaron diversas actividades de capacitación y asistencia técnica, enmarcadas en la aplicación del Sistema de Extensión Agraria, y con ello se logró una mejor vinculación, motivación y comprensión por los productores en la adopción de tecnologías. El estudio se realizó en la UIVIP Comecará, la que cuenta con 589,44 ha, predominando el Coffea canephora P. y 270 productores para un promedio de 2,16 productores por hectárea. Con esta experiencia se incrementaron los rendimientos: para el Coffea arabica L. en 0,10 t/ha como promedio en las cinco entidades respecto al período inicial, y en el Coffea canephora P. 0,15 t /ha. Este trabajo facilitó el establecimiento de cinco parcelas demostrativas con rendimientos promedios de 0,21 t/ha con relación a la cosecha base (2007-2008), cuatro áreas de referencia, con rendimientos desde 0,2 t/ha hasta 0,31 t/ ha para el café Arábico, y para el Robusta entre 0,35 t/ha y 0,51 t/ ha. Se logró además que cuatro fincas alcanzaran la condición de sostenibles, en las cuales el incremento para el caso del café arábico estuvo en 0,05 t/ha con relación al período base (2007-2008), y para el Robusta ascendieron a 0,22 t/ha.
