The objective of the investigation carried out during the years 2012 and 2013 in the Estación Experimental Agroforestal Tercer Frente, Santiago de Cuba was to evaluate the use of the pleurotina like organic manure for the production of postures of interespecifics grafts of coffee. Proportions of Brown soil/Pleurotina 3:1, 5:1 and 7:1 and a witness (3:1 soil: bovine manure) (v/v) were used. When more than 80% of the grafts were suitable, the height, the diameter of the stalk, the air and radical dry mass was evaluated, the area to foliate and the index of quality of the postures. The statistical analysis was carried out according to the STATISTICA program and the Duncan test was used for the comparison of the stockings. The grafts grown in the mixture soil: Pleurotina (5:1) they showed significantly superior values to the rest of the substratum in all the evaluated indicators. The above-mentioned facilitates to recommend the use of the Pleurotina like source of organic manure for the production of postures of coffee obtained by the way of grafts. En la producción de las setas comestibles el sustrato remante (pleurotina) muestra cualidades que permiten su utilización como fertilizante orgánico, el cual ha sido evaluado en el cultivo de plantas de hortalizas y vegetales, y al mismo tiempo es una vía de manejar los subproductos agrícolas. El objetivo de la investigación realizada durante 2012 y 2013 en la Estación Experimental Agro-Forestal Tercer Frente, Santiago de Cuba, fue evaluar el uso de la pleurotina como abono orgánico para la producción de posturas de injertos interespecíficos de café. Se utilizaron proporciones suelo Pardo/Pleurotina 3:1, 5:1 y 7:1 y un testigo (3:1 suelo: estiércol vacuno) (v/v). Cuando más del 80 % de los injertos estuvieron aptos, se evaluó la altura, el diámetro del tallo, la masa seca aérea y radical, el área foliar y el índice de calidad de las posturas. El análisis estadístico se realizó según el programa Statistica y se utilizó la prueba de Duncan para la comparación de las medias. Los injertos crecidos en la mezcla suelo:pleurotina (5:1) mostraron valores significativamente superiores al resto de los sustratos en todos los indicadores evaluados. Lo anterior posibilita recomendar la utilización de la pleurotina como fuente de abono orgánico para la producción de posturas de café obtenidas por la vía de injertos.
