The work was developed in the UCTB Estación Experimental Agroforestal Jibacoa, Manicaragua municipality, Villa Clara province. With the objective to explore the state of the RFG of coffee and cocoa in Cuba, starting from the analysis of the information of the collections. The indicators of the 20 high-priority areas of activity of the Plan of World Action (PAM) were modernized, in the Computer Application (GPA) of the National Mechanism of Information Exchange (MNII), being analyzed 83 main indicators and 68 complementary. The database was modernized in two moments (Iterations). It was dear the available diversity in the productive chain of coffee and cocoa. The indexes of diversity Alpha in the collections of coffee were determined, in function of the taxas and agreements or samples, using the program BIODIV. Graphic and tabular analyses were also used. Information of the four big areas of the PAM was offered. The analysis of the available information in the MNII allowed knowing detailed for the first time in Cuba the state of the resources phytogenetics of coffee and cocoa, standing out its importance like tool in the diversity constitute an effective tool to determine the diversity of the collections ‘ ex situ’. Los recursos fitogenéticos (RFG) constituyen la materia prima básica de incalculable valor e imprescindibles para cubrir las necesidades actuales y futuras. El trabajo se desarrolló en la UCTB Estación Experimental Agroforestal Jibacoa, municipio de Manicaragua, provincia de Villa Clara. Con el objetivo de monitorear el estado de los RFG de café y cacao en Cuba, a partir del análisis de la información de las colecciones se actualizaron los indicadores de las 20 áreas prioritarias de actividad del Plan de Acción Mundial (PAM), en la aplicación informática (GPA) del Mecanismo Nacional de Intercambio de Información (MNII), analizándose 83 indicadores principales y 68 complementarios. Se actualizó en dos momentos (iteraciones) la base de datos. Fue estimada la diversidad disponible en la cadena productiva de café y cacao. Se determinaron los índices de diversidad alfa en las colecciones de café, en función de las taxas y accesiones o muestras, utilizando el programa Biodiv. También se utilizaron análisis gráficos y tabulares. Se ofrece información de las cuatro grandes áreas del PAM. El análisis de la información disponible en el MNII permitió conocer detalladamente por primera vez en Cuba el estado de los recursos fitogenéticos de café y cacao, resaltando su importancia como herramienta en la toma de decisiones para su manejo. Los índices de diversidad empleados constituyen una herramienta efectiva para determinar la diversidad de las colecciones ex situ.
