González-Vega, Roberto coffee extension’s training harvests yields café extensionismo capacitación cosecha rendimientos The study was carried out during January 2007 to June 2010 period, in 11 properties of the Cooperative of Credits and Strengthened Services (CCSF) “Onelio Díaz” of the Unit of Interface of Comecará, of the Tercer Frente municipality, Santiago de Cuba province, in those that an appropriate interaction was promoted for the innovation among the actors interested in the sustainable development of the coffee-culture. These actions were carried out by means of the advice, training and technical attendance to the producers framed in the application of the System of Agrarian Extension and with it was achieved it a better linking, motivation and understanding of the producers in the adoption of technological options and diagnosis studies. This work also facilitated a correct application of the technology and it facilitated the creation of 5 demonstrative parcels that congregate an extension of 31.4 ha planted with coffee ´Robusta´ whose yields averages increased with relationship to the harvest (2007-2008) in 0.21 t/ ha 2 reference areas represented in 3.93 ha of coffee ´Robusta´ showing increases in the yields of 0.17 t/ha like increment average and it was achieved that 4 properties with a total area of 8.66 have of Robust coffee they reached the condition of sustainable, those that reported an increment average from their equivalent yields to 0.22 t/ha with relationship to the initial harvest, respectively. El estudio se realizó durante el período de enero 2007 a junio 2010 en 11 fincas de la Cooperativa de Créditos y Servicios Fortalecida (CCSF) Onelio Díaz de la Unidad de Interfase de Comecará, del municipio de Tercer Frente, provincia de Santiago de Cuba, en  las que se promovió una interacción adecuada para la innovación entre los actores interesados en el desarrollo sostenible de la caficultura. Estas acciones se realizaron mediante el asesoramiento, capacitación y asistencia técnica, enmarcados en la aplicación del Sistema de Extensión Agraria, y con ello se logró una mejor vinculación, motivación y comprensión de los productores en la adopción de opciones tecnológicas y estudios de diagnóstico. Este trabajo también posibilitó una aplicación correcta de la tecnología y facilitó la creación de cinco parcelas demostrativas que congregan una extensión de 31,4 ha plantadas con café Robusta, cuyos rendimientos promedios incrementaron con relación a la cosecha (2007-2008) en 0,21 t/ha. Se establecieron dos áreas de referencia representadas en 3,93 ha de café Robusta, mostrando aumentos en los rendimientos de 0,17 t/ha como incremento promedio, y se logró que cuatro fincas con un área total de 8,66 ha de café Robusta alcanzaran la condición de sostenibles, las que reportaron un incremento promedio de sus rendimientos equivalente a 0,22 t/ha con relación a la cosecha inicial, respectivamente.
