Effect of the Vitazyme in the production and the quality of the coffeee in established plantations Efecto del Vitazyme en la producción y la calidad del cafeto en plantaciones establecidas Rodríguez-Castro, Maritza Idilia Bustamante-González, Carlos Alberto Vitazyme coffee quality fertilizer yield Vitazyme café calidad fertilizante rendimiento To validate the application of the Vitazyme like biological stimulant in the production, yield and quality of the coffee, an experiment was developed from August of 2005 until November of 2008, in areas of the Estación Central de Investigaciones de Café y Cacao, municipality of TercerFrente, Santiago de Cuba province. Implants of coffee were used, planted at 2 m x 1 m under low shade of Samanea saman in a Brown soil without carbonates. It was calculated the yield, the grain and the content of nutritious in samples of brown parchment. It was determined that the application of 0.5 L/ha-1 of Vitazyme in April-June and 0.5 L/ha-1 in September-December to the soil and the plant similar agricultural yield was reached that when using the mineral fertilization, but the industrial yield was increased and the size of the grains increased being obtained a net profit of $1776.14 x ha-1. They were not variations in the quality of the drink. Para validar la aplicación del Vitazyme como estimulante biológico en la producción, rendimiento y calidad del café, se desarrolló un experimento desde agosto de 2005 hasta noviembre de 2008 en áreas de la Estación Central de Investigaciones de Café y Cacao, municipio de Tercer Frente, provincia de Santiago de Cuba. Se utilizaron injertos de café plantados a 2 m x 1 m bajo sombra de Samanea saman en un suelo Pardo sin carbonatos. Se calculó el rendimiento, la granulometría y el contenido de nutrientes en muestras de café pergamino. Se determinó que la aplicación de 0,5 L/ha-1 de Vitazyme en abril-junio y 0,5 L/ha-1 en septiembre-diciembre al suelo y a la planta, se alcanzó similar rendimiento agrícola que al utilizar la fertilización mineral, pero se incrementó el rendimiento industrial y aumentó el tamaño de los granos, obteniéndose un beneficio neto de $1776,14 x ha-1. No se encontraron variaciones en la calidad de la bebida.
