Estudio de diferentes sustratos para el desarrollo de posturas de cacao (Theobroma cacao L.) producidas en bandejas con alveolos de 200 cm3 Moran-Rodríguez, Norlan Martínez-Suárez, Felipe Bustamante-González, Carlos Alberto plugs nursery substratum litonita Theobroma cocoa Lin. tubetes vivero sustrato litonita Theobroma cacao Lin. The investigation was developed in the Estación Experimental Agro-Forestal Tercer Frente nursery, among June-September of the 2011, with the objective of evaluating different substratum for the development of cocoa (Theobroma cocoa Lin.) postures taken place in trays with alveoli of 200 cm3 of volumetric capacity. 10 substratums were studied and they were compared with a witness in bags, distributed in a totally at random design. The parcels conformed to with 40 seedlings of which 10 were analyzed. They were taken to end evaluations every 15 days after the emergency of the seedlings for the variables: height, diameter of the shaft and number of leaves. Foliate applications of liquid worm humus were carried out to the 60 days and of Bioplasm at 67 days later to the germination. To the 90 later days to the bud of the plants it concluded the rehearsal, the variable height, diameter of the shaft, number of leaves, dry weight of the air system and area to foliate were analyzed. The obtained data were subjected to variance analysis and the significant factors analyzed by the Duncan test with a level of significance of 5 %. The results show that the compound substratum for a mixture of coconut fiber 40 % + Humus of worm 40 % + Litonita 20 %, according to the analyzed variables propitiated the best development in the postures, also that the system of seedlings production in tubetes for the cultivation of the cocoa needs of a fertilization starting from the 45 days later to the emergency of the seedlings.  La investigación se desarrolló en el vivero de la Estación Experimental Agro-Forestal Tercer Frente, entre junioseptiembre de 2011 con el objetivo de evaluar diferentes sustratos para el desarrollo de posturas de cacao (Theobroma cacao Lin.) producidas en bandejas con alveolos de 200 cm3 de capacidad volumétrica. Se estudiaron 10 sustratos y se compararon con un testigo en bolsas, distribuidos en un diseño completamente al azar. Las parcelas se conformaron con 40 plántulas, de las cuales 10 se analizaron. Se llevaron a cabo evaluaciones cada 15 días después de la emergencia de las plántulas para las variables altura, diámetro del tallo y número de hojas. Se realizaron aplicaciones foliares de humus de lombriz líquido a los 60 días y de Bioplasma a los 67 días posteriores a la germinación. A los 90 días posteriores al brote de las plantas se concluyó el ensayo, se analizaron las variables altura, diámetro del tallo, número de hojas, peso seco del sistema aéreo y área foliar. Los datos obtenidos fueron sometidos a análisis de varianza y los factores significativos analizados por el test de Duncan con un nivel de significación del 5 %. Los resultados muestran que el sustrato compuesto por una mezcla de fibra de coco 40 % + humus de lombriz 40 % + litonita 20 %. Según las variables analizadas propició el mejor desarrollo de las posturas, además de que el sistema de producción de plántulas en tubetes para el cultivo del cacao necesita de un abonamiento a partir de los 45 días posteriores a la emergencia de las plántulas.
